Through the Middle Island Project Group we partner with Warrnambool Field Naturalists Warrnambool City Council, Deakin University, Parks Victoria and others. Warrnambool Coastcare Landcare has unique links with staff and students at the Warrnambool campus which offers highly regarded Marine Biology courses. Deakin has partnered with us from the start of the internationally famous Middle Island Project where Maremma dogs are protecting a Little Penguin colony. Most years, dozens of Deakin students volunteer with us. Some stay with us for many years and take on committee and project leadership roles.
